13 or 14 inch laptop required for College

1) What's your Budget?

>30K, not more than 50K etc.

2) What will be your primary usage for the notebook be?

(office apps/Casual Gaming)

3) What size and weight considerations do you have?

Want a portable laptop to carry round as i am doing part -time MBA , need to carry laptop

to college after carrying it around in trains and at work .

4) Any brand that you prefer, or any brand that you detest?

NA .

5) Any other considerations?

Should optional have a back-lit keyboard

Also an atleast 2nd gen i5 proc

NON OS laptop would be preferred .

Can also go for an office laptop like vostro or something .

optional Would latter like to replace internal HDD with an ssd .

Please help decide
 
I got my sister a HP 430 with core i5 second gen 2410 with 4gb ddr3 1333 + 500gb hdd + Ati 6470 + intel hd 3000 switchable graphics + 6 cell battery + windows 7 Home premium + webcam + bluetooth + wifi + HDMI for Rs,30000 from ebay in Sept 2011. Its a sturdy well made laptop and is vfm for what it offers. The warranty is 1 year.
 
#snow - Though the HP #sunny27 has mentioned is VFM, if you have some extra money to spend, have a look at this- VPCCA15FG. Backlit Keyboard + lot better graphics + USB 3.0 + 7200rpm_HDD
 
any heard about acer aspire timelinex series ..

there is a model called as3830t .. 13.3 inch one .

can see a listing for same on ebay for around 43k for shipping from US .
