14 inch laptop needed budget 50k-55k for college including 2-3 year warranty

hi ppl need a laptop which i can carry
daily to my mba college .

so i think 14 inch screen should be the
one i should go for .

main usage will it to research and create college project .

also will be installing eclipse ide and database applications for programming .

wuld like have an comfortable key arraangement and probably backlit keyboard.

will not change same for 3 yrs ....

Just check the Vostro 4550. Its one of the best out there..

If not, then an XPS 14..

Dont buy the XPS 15 as you plan to carry it daily.. Its kinda Heavy..

I feel it a PITA to carry it once a month to the coll, forget daily

dont see xps 14 or vostro 4550 on dell india site buddy .... have they been discontinued

can you provide link for same ...

no option for upgrading or customizing in hp !! btw see if you can get it from a retailer or local buyer without OS....might reduce the cost further and considering the specs of the machine...it is a good buy !!
 
saw some previews about samsung series 7 laptops .. launching around early oct ...

any idea about pricing in india
 
+1 FOR manu....wish it was at least GT 550/555...that would have made it a great deal !!

btw @ OP....are you strictly looking for 14"?

am looking for laptop which is easy to carry around . as i do travel to college by mumbai local trains

Add 2490 for 2 years extended warranty. Comes in to 55k with total 3 yrs warranty.

This is the best you can get in 14 inch category. i5 2430M + AMD 6630M. Oh and it comes with a backlit keyboard as well by default.

You might wanna wait for the VAIO SE as well if you can stretch your budget little further. Its a 15.5 inch FULL HD laptop but weighs only 2 kg :)
