Hi guys,
I'm about to buy an AC for my room . Rooms is 140 sq.ft. I want to know 2 things.
1.Is 1 ton enough for my room and if I go for 1.5 ton , will there be savings in electricity bill? (It's ok if 1 ton cools the room slower).
2.How do I calculate the cost for running AC electricity bill/hr . 1 unit is 5/-. I would keep the temperate set at 25.C.

Usage will be 10hrs+/day. I guess buying an inverter AC will be economical in the long run.

Thanks in advance.

A good 1.1 ton is enough provided you are not on the top floor with a roof on top!

Do check the cooling capacity of the AC expressed in watts. For a 1 tonner, it should be a minimum of around 3516W.In my opinion, 1.5T would be an overkill for 140 sq feet room.
Will the usage be continuous for 10 hours? If yes, a 1.1T inverter AC will the correct choice.

Yeah.. I prefer smaller & cheaper one too. Very unlikely I'll run it for 10hrs straight.. How much is 1.1 ton? Looks like sharp is good overall.. Is 1 ton 1.1 ton?
