Barca go thru on 1-0 aggregate.....:@ :@

& I think Barcelona surely deserved to clinch the Champions League final place against Arsenal in Paris after the draw with AC Milan(Except for the disallowed Shevchenko's Goal:@:@ )

The Match started with a quick attack by AC Milan... with Kaka flashing a shot narrowly wide after a superb Jaap Stam pass.........
but who could have stopped Barcelona from a counter attack......Barca responded with their own lightning attack after Samuel Eto's effort was divingly stopped by Dida .....After a quick start by both sides the game begun to settle down, with Ronaldinho starting to get into the pick of action.....and this forced AC Milan into the defensive mood and they were strugging to get the ball out of their own half.....As Barca buit up the pressure on Milan there was many lapses frm Milan's defence which gave Samuel Eto'o an early glimpse of goal, only to stopped by a combination of a Dida block and a Alessandro Costacurta clearance .......
But Milan soon turned around the tables......as Milan started to exert some pressure on Barcelona's defence......with Rafael Marquez & Filippo Inzaghi into the action....but Inzaghi failed to control the ball as he threatened to go clear...Only 20 minutes into the game ....and Ronaldinho is in the action....he sends a shot whistling over the bar catching Milan's nerves ...Meanwhile Samuel Eto'o was getting plenty of goal oppurtunties ....but all were to be blocked frm close range..... Shevchenko also tried to get some action with his shot hits side net as the temperature of the game began to rise........ with many other oppurtunties for both sides to come....As the first half was coming to a close Alessandro Costacurta picked up the game's first yellow card after scything down Samuel Eto'o which resulted in a free-kick.....but goalkeeper Dida comfortably gathered Ronaldino's free-kick, which proved to be the last action of the first-half.........

Half Time:Barcelona 0-0 AC Milan
After the Second half resumed Shevchenko again got a glimpse of goal for the second time in the game and shots in a header that was saved by Victor Valdes....But as it was a closely played game even Barca got into the action quickly.....but Juliano Belletti missed an open goal after a wonderful Ronaldinho pass split the AC Milan defence.....Ronaldhinho again setup an oppurtunity this time for Ludovic Giuly but he volleyed it over the bar from a tight angle.... Cafu was the first substitutionfor AC Milan with many more to come..Cafu soon got into action after Victor Valdes was unable to gather Serginho's cross which Cafu headed but the ball went over the bar....After tat scare Barcelona also made their substitution as Gennaro Gattuso came off to be replaced by Rui Costa, while Henrik Larsson came on for Ludovic Giuly.....In the confusion AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko headed the ball past Victor Valdes for a superb goal but damn it was disallowed:@ :@ :@ ....
Ronaldinho tried to get past AC Milan's defence but was stopped every time....Barcelona's Henrik Larsson got a superb goal chance after a cross from Eto'o which he headed brilliantly but was blocked by Dida brilliantly...... Dida came to Milan's rescue again as good positioning allowed him to comfortably hold a Deco shot.....AC Milan made their final substituion as Alberto Gilardino replaced Filippo Inzaghi....but with just under 10 minutes to go Barcelona were closing in on their first European Cup final appearance since 1994.......in the 88th MinuteMark van Bommel replaced Samuel Eto'o for Barcelona.....as Nou Camp started preparing for its celebrations.....game moved into stoppage time but there was no miracles in store for AC Milan.... ..And its Barca who to the FINAL in Paris on 17th May vs Arsenal.....

Nice post, u've done it again. just edit one thing, referee's name is DR. Marcus Merk. He is a dentist.:ohyeah: . and yes u missed out on one crucial moment that of Barca's Belleti missing a sitter in the second half when he failed to connect a cross though he was unmarked in the penalty area. coming back to the match, i thought AC Milan had the possession but they just couldn't find any gaps in Barca's defense, on the other hand Barca with whatever possession they had found big gaps in AC Milan's defence and created many a chances but couldn't convert them, eto'o being the culprit. eto'o definitely has speed but not the guile of ronaldinho. whenever eto'o got the chances, he tried to blast the ball into the goal when a simple chip shot over the GK dida would have done the trick. Barca could've easily gone 1-0, if not 3-0 with Belleti making a mess of such an easy chance. All in all Barca really deserved to win the match and i can see them going all the way to the finish line and being crowned the CHAMPIONS.

DAMN!!! Am too disappointed,..... bad week in sports for me.... First that moron Alonso wins.... and now this :( :'(

well what a match it was!!! but poor old Jens Lehmann's moment of stupidity might well have cost Arsenal the title. the foul cost arsenal two players who were at the top of their game, Lehmann himself and poor Robert pires. Lehmann's consecutive 10 clean sheets might well be overshadowed by his foul. he should have let Eto'o score the goal, atleast then it would have been 11 vs 11 and things might have been different. arsenal missed Pires who is good at opening the defences of opposition and providing the ball to strikers. well those of us who were hearing the english commentary were made to believe that the ref was biased. but that red card to lehmann was absolutely spot on. the ref went according to the rule book. yeah agreed that after that there was a poor decision when henry was yellow carded. but my dear friends, remember that arsenal got the goal in the first half coz of Eboue's fake dive which prompted the ref to award arsenal the free kick which henry took promptly and sol campbell headed in to score the goal. Barca were definitely the better team yesterday, they created more chances. but it was only in the second half when Iniesta and Larsson were included that their attack suddenly appeared to have become more incisive and decisive. they tasted blood when larsson beautifully provided Eto'o the ball and he found the back of the net. from then on it was only a matter of time that Barca would eventually turn the screws tight on Arsenal. and 2 goals within 6 minutes of each other buried Arsenal's hopes of an historic first European title. Henrik Larsson was aptly adjudged man of the match. and i was happy to see Ludovic Giuly shed tears of happiness, since he lost the champions league final in 2004 playing for AS Monaco against FC Porto which incidentally had his current team mate Deco then. So Deco has won the title twice with two different clubs FC Porto and Barcelona. though the record belongs to AC Milan's Clarence Seedorf, he is the only man to win the Champions league title thrice with three different teams Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan :cool2:. also, Barca manager Frank Rijkaard created history by becoming only the 5th person to win Champions league both as a player and a manager. all in all a good match though dull in comparison to last year's Istanbul Final.
