Which are best options available ... im looking more towards 21" , what are the approx prices and performance of these 21" compared to 19" , is it just the screen size or gaming and visual performance.

Budget ( 15 to 20 k )

:)

In 19", the Viewsonic G90 is probably the best, for around 13.5K .21" would mostly be more than 20K.

And if you are planning to game on a 21", you'll need a very powerful graphics card as well, as anything below 1280x1024 would look very bad on the large screen. You'll probably need 1600x1200 for gaming.

Viewsonic G-90F RS: 13,500/- IVORY ONLY
Viewsonic G-220F RS: 27,500/- IVORY ONLY

They are the best.

Samsung 997DF and 1100DF... do consider... very good...can personally vouch for them...I use the 997 more often though... other one is used more as a TV with a leadtek Tv card..

But puneet for that price consider the Viewsonic g90 as the first option in 19"...............

yup , g90 is top on my list for 19"

nothing on philips monitors ? the 21" 201B40 for 18500 looks a good buy wat say .

From the specs i would say the G90 because it can even go upto 2048X1536 and at 1600X1200 does more than 75 Hz, and after all it is a Viewsonic G series. But dont just go by the specs, try to actually see it or get someone's opinions who have used the montiors and then decide.

The VS E90/96fsb look great but cannot handle 1600x1200 at 75hz!!
G90 does that at 77hz but ivory only!! also i didn't quite like the looks!!:p

E90>http://ap.viewsonic.com/in/products/productspecs.php?id=110
E96>http://ap.viewsonic.com/in/products/productspecs.php?id=247
G90>http://ap.viewsonic.com/in/products/productspecs.php?id=103

Also the no good E90 is 22kgs whereas the others are lighter at 18 odd!!

997DF is also lighter, grrr... but much more compact than the others, depthwise at least!! so more space on desk!!
997DF>http://www.samsung.com/in/products/...ofessionalrange/997df.asp?page=Specifications

Philips managed 1600x1200 at 76hz earlier i think so also good enough and seems like it may have better screen and colours but service- i think i was advised against only for service related probs!! also parts/service pricier!!
it was cheaper then too!!

WTF- this 19incher on philips india manages only 73hz for 1600x1200!! Thats max!!
Then lower res will be tough for it too!!:(
Philips out!!

Also check this old post of mine!!:p

Recommend that you check the G90 and 997DF in action, seems like either of the two if its a 19incher!!:cool2:
