so anyhow i cant post in the so called loony auto forums, let me post where at least common "C class" are even allowed to post.

I will be getting my first bike and what i am looking for is

1.perfomance
2.perfomance
3.medium-low maintainence
4.cheap spares
5.40-30kmpl mileage will do.
6.budget(15k-1.75lac) dosent matter
7.I wont be keeping this bike for more than a year and a half. So i am a bit inclined towards used ones.

I am looking at these bikes currently

{RX100 ,RX135 5 speed, Karizma R , R15 , TZR 250, RD350}
No RE plz! I intend to do stunts

please comment.

The Yamaha RX series are ur best bet for STUNTS......

If u don't find ones (RX) in good condition, opt for the Karizma R but get a new one since ur budget permits.

I believe that a R15 is not really a stunt oriented bike...... I have ridden it & I think the Karizma R feels lighter when pulling off wheelies compared to the R15....... But that may change from person to person & the individual clutch popping style. Try it b4 u buy it......

If it's the Yamaha TZR 250 u are talking about...... I would say "Find it before u buy it"......!!! :p

A well maintained RD350 is difficult to find & if u do find one, don't tell the owner that u intend to use it for stunts or he may refuse to sell it to u.....!!! Yes, they are that sensitive!!! :p

Also, I really don't think that u'll be able to pull of any good stunts on the RD..... It is too heavy for that.

Most importantly, Ride RESPONSIBLY & Ride SAFE...... Wear atleast a Helmet, Gloves & Riding Boots when pulling off stunts. If u can manage Knee Pads & Elbow Pads, even better.

Also, make sure that u don't endanger the life of others for ur stunting pleasures.

U might be a pro at Stunts but it is my duty to tell. All the best.

:)

Hi,

Well since you want a bike for ~1.5 yrs and you prefer performance, you can check out the bikes by yamaha... Especially the FZ-S/FZ-16... They have a great performance, but ~30-35 Kmpl mileage... Else if you want to get a used one, try getting a shogun/RX-Z/RX100...

Regards

Get a not-so-good-conditioned RX 100 or 135, get it into top condition from a good mechanic (almost every city has a Yamaha specialist). You are good to go.

You can get a used karizma R for around 55k(2 yr old models) and get it tuned and modified for stunting as stunting normally leads to bike damage internally as well as external and its much easier to get karizma spares than a RD-350 or RX series.

look for used Ninja 250 ( close to 2.25L)

get a zma ( new or old, depends on you) and mod it for stunting eg bigger rear sprockets, NGK Iridium plugs, Pirellis, flat side carb

Don't look at Bajaj. After owning two Bajaj Pulsars, when I bought Zma I hated myself for not buying it earlier. the chassis is way better than Pulsar, Fz.
Similarly many of my friends regretted buying Unicorn, CBZ-x once they got confidence.

R15 is good too, but doesn't give you a big bike feel.

Zma is the best bike as a 1st bike. a good chassis is extremely important, more than engine too. That's why R15, 150 cc, kicks Pulsar 220's a*s.
Don't listen to the guys who say it's too fast for a learner, a noobie should start with 150cc etc.
