Go either with Seagate or WD my elements 2.5". 2.5" don't require external power source. I have WD one, its good, but body is prone to scratches. You can consider trascend also. Go for one which saves you most bucks with maximum warranty, as all these brands (among these 3 only) are different boats in same ocean.

EDIT: Can throw in a free HDD pouch/bag which I had been using from day 1 with the hard drive.
 
hey where did u buy pouch for that ? I am looking for a pouch, can u sell separately ?
 
I have the Toshiba Canvio USB 3.0. I got it for Rs.845 - ebay gave me a 5500 off coupon - long story. I am pretty happy with the hard drive and its performance. Its fast. I have USB 3.0 in my Thinkpad x220 and my desktop and I get very good data transfer speeds. It has 3 years of warranty with Rashi honouring it (!) which seems to be the only sore point in this otherwise decent overall package.

Btw i Have the same case as the Ebay.com link but $6.99 is way too much for it. I paid 6 dollars for 3 of them from Focalprice ages ago.
