I am looking for a 2.1 setup. Preference is active speakers but I am open to passive speaker set as well with amps like Aiyima A07 Pro (costs roughly US$48/HK$375 with 36V6A adapter). TV as the source and I have US$200-250/HK$2000 equivalent to spend. I am open to pre-owned goods. My location is Hong Kong.

My TV is TCL C745. I can use optical cable. I also want Bluetooth capability.

My living room is about 12ft x 16ft. Since I am in rented apartment, I can’t change my TV unit which does not allow much space for getting AVR.

I want it to be better than my Hivi D1200 - specially the bass. I am by no means an audiophile but appreciate clearer, brighter sound.

Some of options I have read on web over past week are 1) Edifier R2850DB 2) Aiyima A07 Pro + Edifier T5 sub paired with some passive bookshelf speakers.

What about the D1090 assuming you are able to find one? I currently use the m200 and am quite satisfied.

I can find them either old or new, but AFAIK they lack sub out. I don’t want to end up in a situation where I am finding bass to be lacking. To give comparison/context, I found Creative T100 to have more thump than D1200!

Try and demo them if possible because I have heard that the 6.5 inch drivers pack a punch.

Sure let me know if anything turns up.
So they could give me two store locations in Shenzhen to demo/audition their speakers. I will going there tomorrow. Also I was told there is not any distributor in India as of now for them but they provided a contact number to ask for more details! Let's see how things pan out further.

I am thinking that while I am able to audition/demo, I would do it for 1090, D200 and D300. That could get me good comparison.
