Wanted to get 2.1 system of 4k, can go upto 5-5.5k if its good. I mostly listen to extreme metal so it is important that it does not go haywire at high volume. Edifier systems have no memory and it seems one has to reset bass and treble everytime which is just too troublesome. Sony SRS D9 seems to fit the criteria; are there any others which will be good ? Thank you.

You should get SRS D9 auditioned once. I was looking to buy speakers in Diwali time in similar budget and found Sony SRS D9 and Edifier C2+ were very good for the price. However when I auditioned Sony speakers I did not like them. At high volumes with considerably good bass voice was kind off cracking.
