Altec , logitech and maybe creative are much better ...

and his budget is 7k ... mx5021 .. .do whatever to get this baby , nothing else :D
 
LOL exactly... btw puns which tannoys did u listen to? Did you get them? I heard the commercial tannoy PowerV6 at a levis store :P and it sounded pretty ordinary. They had a horribly booming 12" velodyne sub to go with it rofl :D. So i guess the setup was screwed too.
 
:cool2: since everyone is saying a different thing,lets do this:anyone who owns or has owned a 2.1 speaker set costing less than 7k,kindly post which model it is,what u think of it and give it a rating out of 10.i'll have a look a all the comments and then decide what to buy.
i find this as the only solution,as each brand has its own loyalists.please be honest about ur comments.i have gone totally crazy seeing you'll fighting amonst yourselves.so please post comments of what u have actually owned and i will decide for myself.THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Run a 'search' on TE for 'speakers' and go thru the results you get!!
You will be pleasantly surprised!!:)

And when it comes to sound, everyone knows this but i still tell you, even if some audio guru says something- i will always prefer to chk out the products personally- by listening to them- before i buy!!
Coz 'Moozik' is such an 'individual' thing!!:cool2:

Personal vote- ATP3 or MX 5021- coz i trust the opinion of those who have similar tastes in music and know their stuff!!:cool2:

BTW, what genre of music do you listen to most of the time??:huh:

And is this just for the ipod or for PC use too??:S
If the latter, what sound card or which mobo with what onboard audio??:P :cool2:
 
well,i heard the MX-5021,simply feel in love with them(they are beyond awesome:clap: ) and was going to buy them when my trusty old monitor went kaput and i bought a new one for 5.4k(samsung 17 inch CRT).so out of my 7k budget,i have only 1.6k left to buy the speakers:( .so now i have shortlisted the following models:
1.altec lansing AVS300(1.2k)
2.altec lansing 121i(1.3k)
3.artis S500 (1.6k)
4.creative SBS370(1.3k)
5.logitech M-20(1.6k)
plz plz plz help me choose the correct one(i know at this price point there are plenty bad speakers).
btw,is artis a chinese company or something?

FX 6021 .. the frnd of mine who got that .. said it aint up to the level of MX 5021 .. :ohyeah:

and my vote too goes to MX 5021 .. got em yesterday .. for a whopping 9.7k .. delhi rate ..

wil try to get the best outta em and tel myself that i dnt need to purchase any set for the next 10 years or so .. :)
 
i personally feel mx-5021 is like a cult....its definately one of the best 2.1 speakers available in the market and surely in future better speakers will come up will which will eventually beat mx-5021 but still it will always be known as one of the best speakers of its time and is surely at par with klipsch 2.1 segment and better than GMX

fx-6021 is also a very good speaker set but sadly it wont perform well in gaming but music sounds good however midrange sounds slightly hollow but clarity and soundstage is excellent....and it also has a damn good aesthetic appeal so if have spare bucks than i'll definately invest in this set and install it in my drawing room just for casual music listening or just for show off....

i'm surprised that altec CS-21 is not so pouplar inspite of being an excellent performer in music...altec has released CS(concert sound) series specially for music lovers...and first speaker being released in that series is CS-21 and is available for arnd 6K....guys do check out that set

got it from a dealer in Nehru place.. cudnt help it yaar..
my frnd mistakenly thrusted this deal onto me .. and i had to stand by his commitment.. stupid situation .. :(

bt its confirmed,.. delhi mein its this rate only ..

(on e bay its like 11000/-, was mighty pissed wen i noticed the difference in the prices offered at delhi and chennai .. bt cudnt help or do mch abt it ..)

happy wid the performance ... :)
 
MAN 10k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for mx5021 crazy but well get the best outa em its almost like double the price if not double 40% more than chennai ones.
