2.1 under 3k

Hey hi guys..
I want to buy 2.1 speakers under the budget of 3k
Currently I'm listening to altec Lansing vs4121
And I'm totally satisfied with them..
Heard F & Ds are good VFM.... Judging By size of their subwoofers they definitely give punchy bass. how are they when it comes to high mids and treble
 
You might look at F&D A555U @2.3K.
I saw that F&D model during my last visit to MD and was highly impressed by the performance & sound quality of that.
 
get the F&D A 520. it beats the 4121 in the area of bass and mids. only the highs are a bit inferior compared to the AL speaker
 
Ya, agree with greenhorn. F&D A520 really good speakers in that price range. Its around 2k and total VFM product.

I'm looking for something with detailed highs.
As greenhorn mentioned those are not that good when it comes to highs.....
I'm having one question though...
How is altec Lansing Vs4621 compared to VS4121

the sad truth is that there isnt anything under 5k which has better highs than the altec lansing. At this particular segment, most people are worried about better bass and mids - which even the 4121 could do better. If you want better highs, buy a pair of good IEM's for that price.

for personnel audio i've ATH AD-500.. i'm looking for speakers..
i was hoping VS4621 would serve my needs..
what are the options if i increase my budget to 5k.

then buy the F&D. Apart from having all the controls on the subwoofer, its the most VFM deal ever!
 
Quick question; I ordered an F&D A555U from Ebay to be clubbed along with my Bravia. How do I route the sound from the Television onto the speakers? Headphone jack?
