I m using the Vantec Avox 100 and it works fine , but sometimes it does take time to show the menu.

Also the drawback of any casing like this is if the remote is screwed then its useless.

I wud recommend a divx based dvd player over this , i m hardly connecting the avox to my tv.

Hows the playback of Divx and Xvid files...this is what i would really buy it for...

Already have a divx DVD player..
 
Got a chinese brand of one of these for abt sing $100 a year back. Its still working fine. Now it should be available for arnd S$60-70. Prices in India is always inflated tsk damn the middle men! Also check out Tvix/Mvix HD Hdd players capable of playing HD content with HDMI out. Wish these were easily available here.
 
Soon you can see some of these items here (TW made) I prefer to stay away from CN made item.

Once TE BOSS'es are out of discussion room with a good deal ! And allow me to do some community service over here (not full free though)
