GIST : Put a 'Market Section' link in the PORTAL page.

GUEST users do have problem or don't even notice there is a Market Section.
Even, when I was new, I PMed MOD asking where is Market :huh: hahahaha

Put the MARKET SECTION link between Price Guide and Rig Gallery

Why you are allowing to POST anyone in HOT-DEAL section :huh:
In my opinion, no one can post in HOT-DEAL section directly.
Everyone will post in MARKET SECTION and if a high-rank MOD/ADMIN thinks that it is really a good deal then the POST will be upgreaded to HOT-DEAL zone.

No direct post in HOT-DEAL sub-section of MARKET Place.

The link is there - its called "Forums" of which the Market is a part of! :D

A "market section" link would imply a market where TE is selling goods, wouldn't you agree?

Could you give a few examples? From the quick view I had, all the posts in there looked fairly relevant. Plus the Hot Deal section is quite slow-moving with new threads appearing hardly once a week or so - so IMO it looks quite fine if people post directly.
 
nah .. Market feature is an integral part of any forum so it should not be posted in the main portal page .

Eddy , I think he wants all the "hot" market deals to move into Hot-Deals section just like in ebay.com where a hot deal stays on the top of the page . firstly iosoft , Hot-Deals was created for a different purpose . read this " Post the hottest prices and deals you find on the net here. " get it ? . and moving some of these threads from market to hot deals section will only create confusion :)

But not the MARKET.

see, we TEs know about the SECTION but the surfers doesn't.

Surfers generally see the 1st page and make a impression about the page and its content.

If MARKET link (only the Link) is also on the PORTAL page it will be a attractive 'pont' for those surfers. They will click it and discover wide range of deals. They don't have to browse through the FORUM section.

It will work just like a GAME's short-cut on the Desktop, instate of Start->Programs->Activision->KILL-SAM

Market feature is an integral part of any forum so it should not be posted in the main portal page

What if a surfer was looking at the 1st page wondering where is the Overclocking section ? What if a surfer was looking for the CPU/Mobo section? Would that warrant the need to place "short-cut links" to all these sections as well ?? ;)

The point is - you may find the Market section important, while someone else may find another section important ; its all a matter of personal perception.

A surfer is not supposed to "know" about the Market section - he is expected to discover it as an added feature of the forum. The market is an add-on to the forum and not the other way round!

No offence, but I think most web-surfers these days are smart enough to understand the concept of Forums and once a person is within the Forum all it requires is scrolling down to see the Market section. If he needs a shortcut link to get to the Market, he will obviously have difficulty even after that browsing through the Market if he has difficulty navigating through a forum.

I am totally disappointed with some of you, so I am withdrawing all my suggestions..... none to appreciate it. dhusssssssssssss.

The easiest and best thing to use is the "New Posts" feature.

Theres no need to go through every section individually once that is used.

I am asking the MOD(s) to delete all my SUGGESTION threads.

I can't make it simplier to you. Don't stick to TE site 24hrs, read some books.
 
see, I suggested you to bring 'Market' section link in the portal page also.
It is applied as iTrader

Yep its not there on the portal. its only when you log in that iTrader thing becomes visible in user bar. So anyone who is not registered on TE and just goes to portal he wont see it.
