Can you give me some options for a sub-20K phone for running MS Office application (editable)? Does MSOffice application run on a Symbian60 OS or is it only exclusive to Windows Mobile OS

office mobile on winmo is the way to go. You can pick up an o2/mwg xda-atom exec for sub 20k. Or a asus p750, or other htc devices. Most winmo phones would come with msoffice mobile. Its the best office suite i've ever used.

Another option would be to get whatever phone with a decent browser, and you can use google docs/ office live etc.

there are number of software's available for symbian S60 Devices. i havent found any freeware so far, but i think, some S60 phones come bundled with those software so that u can use/edit office documents.
e.g. Nokia 5800 comes with Quick Office, but i could only View. i think E71 comes with kind of full version.
if you go for a windows mobile, it will have built-in support for office products.

The Nokia E63(street price: 14.5k) is the cheapest Symbian phone in which the QuickOffice version installed has editing option. But this version does not support editing the document files created in Office 2007 file format i.e docx

Its better if you buy the Samsung i780(Windows Mobile 6). Has a full QWERTY keyboard and a touchscreen too. Street Price around 17.8k(source: TheMobileStore website)

I'd vote for the Samsung i780 as it has Office Mobile full suite, Qwerty keypad, and it has a very fast response in 'Windows Mobile standard'. But if you like Nokia, why not the E71/E63 which offers Quick Office Premiere to let you create/edit/view office documents. And I like the idea of Sarang, going online, firing up the browser and edit docs using Google Docs or Zoho etc

^ Coz the primary requirement is that of a business phone

I guess my friend would stick to HTC models for their value for money feature.
