Hi, someone getting me a monitor from USA. but i cant decide what should i get. i looked at newegg.com and chimei 221d monitor looks good to me. but i am afraid that it will have any dead pixel. samsung 20 inches or 19 inches are the alternatives. Please suggest me a good monitor in range of 300 dollars. I want to connect it to xbox 360 so quality must be good :P.
thanx in advance for suggestions.

Do you work in a hollywood / bollywood studio.?
is making special effects in movies your livelihood.?
are you a commercial digital artist.?
if NO then the type of lcd panel, in most of the current popular brands of lcd, will not make an iota of difference (or very slight) to you, for normal usage.
all this talk of TN panel etc is hogwash. it does not make any difference to the normal eye for normal(surfing/ gaming etc...) , day to day usage.(most of the common visual problems in a lcd can be solved by tweaking the brightness / contrast settings, color temp selection)
This was a practical tip / advice.

i have bought and used the above recently. it is a good value for money lcd. the colour fidelity is pretty accurate and the 5ms response (GtG) makes it pretty fast for gaming.
No (Zero) dead pixels.
plus the lcd stand with it is very nice. it has both horizontal and vertical movements.
for commecial use (where ur bread /butter depends on it) then sky is the limit and go in for a commercial / broadcast standard lcd's costing about 3 times more.
