Just recived it as an e-mail forward. Noble thought.

Petrol in Pakistan Rs17 per litr
Malaysia Rs 18 per litr
In India it's 50 per litr

Why this difference in Asia itself ? World Market CRUDE Oil is not
the reason for this. It's all Gain for private owners? As we are the
general public, or Common Man as R.K.Laxman wud hv said, we have to raise our voice, let's raise thru Emails.

Forward this to all Indians who care.

IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE DID NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF PETROL FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.

AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES.

THEREFORE "THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 22nd " HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT UP THEIR BEHIND " DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF PETROL THAT DAY.

THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT. WAITING ON THE GOVERNMENT TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO?

REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF PETROL GOING UP BUT AT THE SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH AFFECTS PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING SUPPLIES MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO!

WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN. SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE SEPTEMBER 22nd A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS SAY
"ENOUGH IS ENOUGH"

We forward so many junk email to many of our friends, now let us do
it for some useful cause to cut down the price of the petrol .. ...

REMEMBER : SEPTEMBER 22nd 2006

the problem is very complicated....it isnt so simple to find a solution.

Right now on the price of petrol, the govt charges some 55% of tax.... for diesel it is lower....some 34%.

Now, as price of fuel increases, the amt of money going into govt's pocket is also increasing.

And the revenue from these taxes is the main source of income for the govt's imaginary development schemes.:@ :@

So, if they dont get this money, they cant make up development schemes and spend money. :@ :@

The only solution I can think of is that the govt fixes an amount per litre of petrol..... like instead of charging tax in %, they should fix an amount.

Petrol in Pakistan Rs17 per litr

Malaysia Rs 18 per litr

In India it's 50 per litr

Truck load of bull crap. We pay more than 55 bucks a liter, not 50. :P

hasnt the strike been postponed?? :S ..i think i read abt that somewhere..

That scan was from today's Hindustan Times - Mumbai edition... is your info from the TV news channels ?

shiat!!!!

i gotta go tank up now.. sucks.. i have no petrol in mah bike... damn stupid govt..

plus bike giving pathetic mileage these days.. sucks sucks sucks!

saw in the news. live coverage, huge lines of people trying to fill petrol... damn dman damn

phew.. finally filled in 12 ltrs had approx 1ltr in my bike b4..

so total approx 13 ltrs of petrol... in mah bike.. should last 1 month ..or around approx 500+ kms..

but i think this is a good tactic.. go on a strike when the petrol is costly .. so many people buy it.. so they earn more profits.. :P.. and when the prices are down(sales tax is nil) they resume ... again with a high profit. cause by then most people would have burnt all the fuel.. lol

Ok sorry guys my bad :ashamed:

I didn't double check while posting and then just realised its impossible.

Private oil sector is already running into huge losses and the fuel is subsidsed in India so this had to be crap.

Mods can trash this thread...
