ASUS CEO Jonney Shih and NVidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang stepped up on stage at NVidia’s press event at CES and teased a 7-inch ASUS tablet running Ice Cream Sandwich on the quad-core (actually, penta-core) Tegra 3 chip and said that it will cost just $249.[/font]

Never mind then, let’s focus on the tablet at hand. It was unveiled earlier at CES today and will feature a 7-inch WXGA 1280×800 IPS display.[/font][/font]

The Eee Pad MeMo also features Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, GPS, a gyro and proximity sensor.[/font][/font]

Why isnt Asus realeasing a tablet with 3G????
 
This will swipe everything at the price point / screen size -- Kindle Fire, playbook, Nook tablet, Galaxy Tab 7 plus, Thrive 7

lets not yet be too happy. we still dont have the time frame as to when it will be available in our markets. and also even if it comes here,prices will still be jacked up. this is how things run around here. if it does not sell, price cut and dump.
 
Well, by the time it will be released. All others will reduce their prices and people will end up buying the Ipad again

^^ Well, at least as far as I am concerned, I am a 'person' and not 'people' and there is no chance of me buying an iPad unless Apple starts making an usable tablet (which may even be possible in the absence of Steve Jobs).
 
^^ If any tablet offers iPad performance and functionality at an iPad price, then I would at least would never buy it.
 
Exceptions are always there. Majority of the folks in the market for a tablet will still opt for iPad. I own a Asus Transformer myself. However, I don't recommend anyone to buy any other tablets other than the iPad (unless there are budget restrictions). There just is not another tablet as good as iPad at the moment (of course, I am talking about typical consumers, not nerds like us who want full USB, mod-ability etc.)
 
Too bad, was looking to get a PB. Guess will have to wait now as the temptation is too great

was watching simpsons reruns yesterday and was thinking that if they did a small parody on the next gen playboy mag on the playbook! lol
