Mate, IMO ....The Asus PB278Q is also a choice to consider....unless you are not getting an amazing deal better to wait like I am...how much are you getting the U2713 for ....

Is it 6790 or 6970 ?

If 6970 then I guess you can play most of the games at medium settings at 1440p because of the 2 GB VRAM of 6970.

Is it some online store offer from Ebay or something similar ?

Even I am looking to get one 2560X1440 monitor :)

I think he meant Sapphire radeon HD 5790

How much are you getting the monitor for please share the details ?

@ sujithbvm
Ya the Asus PB278Q is also a very good monitor but God knows when it will release in India
Cant wait since wont be getting this deal again. ;)

@ sujithbvm " Is it 6790 or 6970 ? "& spr " I think he meant Sapphire radeon HD 5790 "
I meant 6790 1 GB DDR 5. It was a typo in my signature, noticed it just now. Product Link SAPPHIRE HD 6790 1GB GDDR5???

Thanks everyone for your replies.I will be buying it anyways. If games refuse to play smoothly even @ 1920X1080 on U2713 then I will keep Samsung T220 for gaming and for rest other purpose will use U2713.
About the price of this monitor cant disclose to anybody due to some reason.:happy26:

glad you are going forward with your decision, screen size always matters for games, try playing a game in a big monitor and then a small monitor ;)

I doubt the 6790 can hit that resolution while gaming, even with low detail and eye-candy off unless you played really old games. A 6870 would be alright for some medium details. You will probably need to stay at 1366x and medium detail, and let the monitor scale the image. Note that this induces a certain amount of lag.

With all eyecandy maxed out and Vsync on, two 6970s can just about keep their head above water in most games at 2560x1600 in my setup. I would hazard a guess that you would definitely need a graphics upgrade down the line, because scaling a 1366x game screen to the full resolution of a 2560x panel is going to look really blurry and dull.
