I am planning to buy a 29" inch CRT Flat screen TV.

Which brand is absolute value for money.
Which points to watch out for before buying.
Any problems you have faced with your current 29" CRT TV brands...?

any help will be greatly apprecitated :hap2:

These reviews are year back reviews and i guess a lot more models with new features might have been launched in the market... So taking the current market trends which one is better

Philips
Sony
Samsung
Onida
LG

I bought my own 29" just 4 months back and so rememeber things i had to go thru.

My priorities were: picture quality, picture quality & picture quality. In this regard, look no further than a philips or a sony. You can always buy a decent music system for the sound.

Goto a showroom that has multiple brands on display. Put the same channel on all. Now compare. Look at channel logos are they should remain the same in all TVs and are constant throughtout. Now choose the one you like the best. Check if the sound is decent enough. If yes, take out your credit card and wait for delivery :)

I settled for a philips PT8836/94 with pixel plus technology. The picture quality is amazing, the sound is pathetic :D i'm looking for a good music system now.

Go for the Philips Pixel plus (with HD) it costs arnd 27k
If budget permits, Sony KV-DB29 rocks...using it for 6 months abs love it... costs arnd 36-37k... Its awessome... worth the cash
