My BPL television is almost on it's last legs now & is showing slow signs of dying. So want to get rid of it ASAP.I would love to get an HDTV at this time but not of much use to me for the time being.Hence need some quick recommendations for an 29 inch CRT TV.

I have just one model in mind & am hell bent on buying it.It would be Samsung CS29M21H1.If anyone has this model can you confirm that it has a in-built woofer? I mean on the site it says it doesn't but I am not sure if it's for in-built or not.:S

Any more suggestions are welcome. Also am planning to get a 21 inch for my bedroom if possible too.Have Samsung CS29M21H1 as the choice.I am planning to buy it in a couple of days so please recommend some good stuff. Also looks are a major factor for me.If you look at the above 2 models they are flawless in their looks & features are pretty decent too.My budget for 29 inch would be roughly around 15k.:)

In built woofers are rubbish. You are better off buying a non-woofer TV and purchasing a 2.1 system (creative, altec lansing) separately - will give you 10 times better sound at almost the same cost.

Also, look at Panasonic. They make excellent CRTs.

I won't be using it much & it would be rather for my parents who would be watching it most of the time.So built-in woofers would just suffice. And even if I do attach a creative or an Altec speakers to it,we would always need to adjust the sound manually from those control knobs right?

Hey Ethan have a look at this Phillips 29 incher model philips 29" 29PT8836 HD ready CRT TV ...amazing picture quality...don't know how it sounds though :). Price 20K I guess

The Sanyo ones have very good sound quality , i went to a showroom a long time ago and saw sanyo , lg , samsung and sony 29" CRT's
