2G internet stick

I'm looking for a 2G usb internet stick so I can plug in my sim card and access the internet at 2G speeds.

It should have a decent signal capturing ability and the cheaper the better.

Also, could someone tell me, what amount of 3G data and validity would I get if I spent about 300/month.

Rather than getting a 2G stick, get a 3G one, ensure that you are on a 2G plan. This way you will get a stick which has good support as many here use 3G sticks, plus if you want to sell the stick later on, you will find a buyer too.

Im using Alcatel 3G data card with idea 2G data plan. 97pm for 2GB data and some 70MB per day limit. Enough for a netbook for some casual browsing when not at home or office. Speeds are like 10~16KBps. Heard Airtel offers slightly better speeds but only 1GB pm.

Here 3G plans are not at all feasible, which are like 1k/m for some 800~1000MB.

i used to get 20~25KBps from torrents with Docomo 2G plans here in mumbai. It even used to shoot up to 30KBps for torrents with high seeders.

Tried Docomo 3G in Pune six months back, was getting pathetic speeds. But i guess that could be since i had free data with the new card ;)
