2nd MP3 player wanted..

Guys I've decided to go for another MP3 player, and thankfully the d00d who sold me the genuis is a friend, and is taking back the problematic piece. Of course I will try the rectifications as our dear carpenter :bleh: bhai suggested...

Considering the 1 GB transcend T.Sonic 610. Is this good enough? How much should it cost? Ebay says around 3.8~3.9K...

I year warranty i guess..

I could spend up to 4K. Advise :)
 
check the prices of iaudio u2 locally. IT sounds a lot, i repeat a looooot better than tsonic. When i bought it 3 month or so ago it was 6k that time for 1gb version.

iaudio is different from iriver right? Sorry don't have much dope on mp3 players :ashamed:

edit... That's a good player... I could up to 5K for such a compact player. btw what's the cable length of the stereo cable on the U2 and the 610? I work out in my office gym while listening to music, and some players have such short cables that the freakin thing keeps jerking out of my pocket...
 
yup. cowon makes the iaudio stuff. there was a review of the iaudio u2 couple of moths ago on chip. they had rate it pretty well...

actually my mom wanted a mp3 player too. so im thinking of getting the u2 for myself and giving her my nano ;)
 
well you have 3 options ... in order of preference

cowon iaudiou2 as suggested by Funky
Iriver players ( available at alfa )
creative

i have a creative rhomba nx model & its cable length is very long... i can use it comfortably from my jeans pocket ... so i assume thats the case with other creative players.
 
just as an approx indicator the t.sonic 620(610 with aaa) is 4.4k for the 2gb version and the cowon 1gb is around 4k..(chennai itself).. but its worth the premium.
 
one of my friends got a t610 2Gb player from lamington @ 4.5k today. The bundled earfones are quite crappy but overall the player is good vfm. Once you use good ear/headfones the sound quality is quite good.

update... deciding to go with the cowon 1 gig. Will update here when i make the purchase.
