The best I got was 2TB for 5.7K and 3TB for 7K. Seagate 7.2K rpm drives. Dunno about the alternatives, but shall let you know - am planning to make a visit to LR.

I saw the prices for 1TB was around 3.5k why is it so much difference in 1 and 2

These prices are about 6 weeks old. Had gone then to RMA my Gigabyte board.

I'm tempted but not sure about snapdeal or seller. Is invoice for hdd warranty a must?

With Snapdeal its honestly a crap shoot as they offer only 3rd party sellers unlike FK and Amazon. Had a very bad experience with them recently and although the refunded the money I personally wouldn't buy something like a hard drive from them myself. However I would add that I have bought many other non-electronic items from them in the past and faced no issues...

2TB is not fast moving. Thats the reason. You cannot expect the same price difference between a 500GB and 1TB where the difference is only around .5k.
