Anyone planning to procure this for FreeNAS or would like to use these as SATA expansion cards, you need to crossflash the IT (no raid, direct access) firmware in DOS/UEFI, as this would be running IR (raid firmware)

I have done this with a M1015 cross flashed to a 9211 8i.
