My existing HDD 250Gb WD Blue (5 yrs old).. is not being detected by the bios.
Plaining to purchase a new one
3.5" HDD - 1 TB - Lowest cost and wht will be the max. warranty I can get.
Which brand should i go for ... Seagate or WD .. which one is more reliable ??

Online prices shows lots of variation: from Rs 3800 to 4500
(the ITDEPOT, THE ITEWARES, deltapage)

Can anyone tell me the actual market price in mumbai ?

AH

but does WD has its service center in mumbai OR any collection point in mumbai ????[DOUBLEPOST=1401511225][/DOUBLEPOST]wht are the specs to look for in WD 1 TB???

go for Toshiba or Hitachi drive if u can get ,u will never regret
are Toshiba HDD so gud??

also ..
it seems in mumbai laigton road..
WD Blue 1tb is on Shortage... Green is available ....
should i go for green .. or Wait for Blue...
or instead go for Seagate..???

green is slow and mainly for storage and there is load unload cycle problem unless u fix the landing time of the head
seagate are fast but not reliable anymore
in my opinion, i finds the toshina/hitachi drives are best
here is my hdd
500 gb drive power on time is 1543 days :)

WD green sucks.
WD Black is the best but only if you can shell out that much amount....

I asuume you are a normal home user so go with WD Blue you wont regret ever. Or Hitachi as well.
