Forum Feedback 30 seconds wait bug

Every time I try Get New Posts, I get the 30 seconds warning even if I had been doing nothing on the page for more than 5/6 mins or just logged in. After the 1st warning and waiting 30 secs, I can use the feature. If I leave the page and come back after, say 10 or 15 mins of browsing other tabs, same thing happens.

What's happening???
 
Just checked again and it happens when I come back to the TE tab after sometime(15+ min) from browsing other tabs. No double clicking. Firefox 3 .0.1
 
Fine for me on Win XP + FF3 and Mac + FF3.

Are you having one of the "fast speed browsing" firefox extension that tries to queries servers and caches pages or something similar?
 
No extensions like that. I'll try disabling all my extensions and trouble shoot. Guess the problem is on my side as no one else is having the same probs...
 
same thing happens to me too, using opera :/
i single click very carefully but still i get that error message
 
make sure you are not being served a cached version of the page.

its not tracked by cookies, its a db level tracking so if you get the error still, something is requesting the search from your end thats causing the warning.
 
i wonder if the "network.prefetch-next" setting (true by default) in FF about:config is causing issues with TE site? but TE pages/links would need some specific tags to enable this i believe...
