I'm in the same boat benryu. I've zeroed in on a Panasonic Viera L32U20D - full HD, IPS panel - available for 23.2k - Koovs - Panasonic Viera 32 Inches Full HD LCD TH-L32U20 Television. One Year Manufacturer Warranty. Free Home Delivery. | All India Deal .
Though, this is a year old model, and has no USB movie support, but I'm planning to buy a standalone media player anyway.
What do folks here think of the choice?

i just went to nearby showroom and rounded off on a Samsung LA32D481G4 for 27k and another one Samsung LA32D450G1 for 26k...
both have HD ready, HDMI x2, and can play movies from usb.. only difference is the former has 800w output and latter has 200w output..
i will be checking out a few other stores today before purchasing but most probably will get the 27k one

But they do ship to Salt Lake (PIN 700091). So I gave my friend's address.
They shipped it via DTDC - which is as of now - in midway. Expecting delivery in this week.
btw, what kind of delivery complications in WB are you referring? I new to kolkata (Just 6 months) - I bought a Xbox recently. (shipped from Ahmedabad safely via DTDC).
