Well its a little difficult to accommodate a GPU with that budget. But u need at least an entry level GPU to run the rig as the i-5 750/H-55 mobo doesnt have an IGP.

The Thuban 1055T is slightly slower than the i-5 750 but u can get a feature rich mobo with HD4250 IGP and USB 3.0 and SATA 3 for ~5.8k.

SMC had a deal for the Dell U2311H Rs.13250 shipped(guess it will be Rs.500 cheaper w/o shipping). Go for this one as it is a IPS panel unlike the other panels in this price range which are most TN based ones.

Why do you want a 24' when you want you desktop to be at 1440x900 and you game only at 1280x960? Maybe you have your own reasons. But still 24' are really meant for 1920xresolution.

^ yup quite true !

well ive heard a lot of good things bout benq g2420hd ! why dont you consider that also !

but as darkangel suggested , if you can get an ips 23" then nothing beats that ! :)

now this explains why 23" was a little costlier than the 24" !

also i think the amd choice is a bit wiser than the i5 , but its your choice :)

Hi guys

Thankx for all the suggestions. Sadly some unexpected expenditures came up so the budget got real tight...ended up with the following

AMD Athlon II X4 635 + MSI 880gma-e45

kingston 4gb RAM DDR3

seagate 500gb hdd

LG dvd writer

intex cabinet & cpu

belkins pci wifi

all under 21k

using spare samsung 17" lcd + wireless microsoft keyboard n mouse + creative 2.1 ...its getting the job done :)

will upgrade the psu,gpu & monitor after about 3 months :)

once again thankx for the suggestions and help

regards
