Finally mine arrives tomorrow afternoon(Atleast thats what the bluedart tracking says). Its a Jasper Arcade with 60 GB starter kit and thanks to Rave its modded to ixtremet LT to play the backups. I would like to thank rave for being so kind for getting me a good deal on the 360(12.5K for the arcade with 60GB starter kit) and then shipping it to me in delhi.

Now the question what all good games are there to be played on it. I wanna know the must play games exclusives for the consoles/360 leaving apart the GOW series.

I am already thinking about getting Braid and Shadow Complex. I will be a owner on a console after a long long time so don't know much. Guide me guys. Also is there any way i can play my HD collection through the 360. I already know the answer is NO but there is nothing wrong in confirming again.

Forza3 got the Console Racing GOTY on many sites.
And Fable2 is also an excellent adventure.

Other than those, I'm sure you know what Halo3 is!
Halo3: ODST wasn't as much fun but if you're a Halo fan, then you won't want to miss it.

Although Mass Effect (1 and 2)and SC: Conviction are multiplats, still in absence of a killer PC you may want to have a look at those too!

And what is meant by HD content?
Do you mean HD movies and all?

If you are looking for 360 exclusives, then here is a list

Fable 2 is a must play and will keep you occupied for some quite some time if you are an RPG fan. (Currently playing it myself), then theres Ninja Gaiden 2 (This is much more gory and difficult than Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, but less graphics quality at the same time)

Even from that list there are a few games worth skipping.

- Halo 3 (This is one over hyped piece of crap. The SP is lame and MP is avg at best)

- Perfect Dark Zero (This is one of the worst Shooters I played on any platform)

There are also others that are not exclusive anymore.
 
congrats to u switch.. btw, i've also bought d same console (xbox 360) from vinaycm and was looking to play backups on it without voiding warranty.. so firmware flashing is the way to go there.. but i want to know one thing (sorry if i'm going off topic) i.e if i play backups, can i play on xbox live or will i get banned..??

If you mod it and go online you'll be banned for sure.

apparently not any more with the ixtreme LT, u need to make sure the game is stealth patched before going online
 
But still warranty will be an issue as the new Liteon DVD drives in the latest models require some hardware modification of the dvd drive's pcb..

warranty is by checking warranty sticker, if that is intact, internal modifications does not matter

incase you dont know how the game is replaced, the guy from MS comes with a new game with him already, checks the game, if its dead, checks the warranty sticker, if its intact, takes the old console with him and gives you a new one

there is no way MS can deny you warranty if the warranty sticker is intact, unless there is some other visible physical damage

Oops.. I thought the warranty would be void as there is hardware modifications (even if the warranty sticker is intact).. Thanks for the reply..
 
Err... If you get banned of live....you losse your warranty. No stickers is going to save you.

Get the console modded>>>stay off-line always>>>keep warranty intact.
 
congrats man, i hope its bought in India. try to get extended warranty. all my friends and i bought our boxes from the US and every one of us had the ring of death within 2 years at different points of time. gave up after getting mine serviced after 3 times ( yes i used to carry my unit to the us and then ship it to customer care ).

i am sure the newer units are better, however i'd suggest you to spend something extra on the extended warranty especially with xbox's questionable build quality.
