$399 iPad 2 Boasts Better Battery Life
The lower priced variant of the iPad 2 has better battery life compared to previous iPad 2 models . The new version of iPad 2 was tested by Anandtech and showed significantly better bettery performance .
After launching the 3rd generation iPad , apple dropped the price of iPad 2 to $399 , Some of the new iPad 2 units desgnated "iPad 2,4" use 32 nanometer SoC , compared to 45nm SoC used in older versions of iPad 2 .
This 32nm built A5 processor has better battery performance , than the 45nm part .
"The iPad 2,4's gains in battery life...are significant. We measured a 15% increase in our web browsing battery life, a nearly 30% increase in gaming battery life and an 18% increase in video playback battery life" compared to the iPad 2 with the older A5 chip, according to Anandtech.
