Any body knows any 3DS Max Designing studios in Delhi that employs freshers?
I learned it on my own and would be looking for jobs after New Year.

3rd model? Its very competitive and your portfolio mostly guarantees the job. Therefore, you NEED to have a fancy portfolio for the job. Also, knowing 3ds max is not enough, many people look for someone specialisizing in something in the 3d software like - modelling or texturing or lighting or rigging or animation. Being specially good in something helps you target a specific job. For example, say you want to work as 3D Archictectural Visualization artist (Archi viz), for that a specialization in modelling or lighting would really help get you the job. But if you want to work as an Animator, a specialization in animation or rigging would help.

I know people in Delhi. Not Pune (sorry). But I think before you can even apply anywhere, your portfolio and resume needs to be solid. So do upload that and post it here and I'll help you out. Also, more importantly tell me what to do you see yourself doing in 3ds max - animating, 3d archi viz, vfx artist, game artist, etc?

Thanks for your help. I am modelling cars and would start rigging them. Not looking at games/character animation or architectural models for now. Would keep in touch with you.
BTW, I have been learning it from 6-7 months only and that too only via youtube and tutorials from p2p sites so 3rd model. Sometimes, encounter problems that are too hard for me at the moment that consumes a lot of time. Even now I am stuck with the front and back grills of Audi R8 that took many days but even then it's not perfect. Everyone is suggesting to get a job and polish my skills further.

Yeah, initially even the simplest of things can trip you up. But as you get more & more comfortable, things will get simpler. It's just a question of practice.

Btw, there's a show-off/artwork thread somewhere here that has some 3d stuff you could check out. I'm in a similar boat, i.e. learning 3d art. (Have been rowing that boat for a while now, lol). Just need to keep at it.

& yes, from what I've heard you'll need to be more specific with respect to what part of the pipeline you prefer. For e.g. since you mention rigging, I don't think modelers are expected to do that. So you could save time by only doing what's required.

Cheers! Do holler when you please. :).

yeah it would save lots of time if I do rigging only but I wanna create my designs. First I only wanted to create models but was fascinated by this video and thought. That is so cool. M gonna do this too

to rig the cars.
Just sayin', if you're looking to do this professionally, you are better off concentrating on what will be your core job. Peripheral things can always be learnt later. Besides, there is always something to learn, always something to improve upon.

Also, when you begin, there is always the temptation of trying to do it all. [It was the same for me as well]. While it can be done, you'll need to invest a lot more time since it will take quite a while to polish off on each of the respective skills. So decide on whether you're prepared to make that investment & act accordingly.

Btw, if you want to create your own designs, then maybe you should look into concept design.

Lastly, take whatever I've said with a good pinch of salt. After all, this is from someone who isn't an industry insider. Cheers & good luck.

I just want to create videos like this but with my own models, so need to do both. But as I have written earlier and also suggested by you I will move to rigging only when I am convinced by my modelling skills. And for creating my own models, I would need to start somewhere so started with automotive tutorials available online. But this is my 4th model that I am working on currently. 3rd model if I don't count a concept vehicle that turned out to be an abomination. And 2nd automotive model if I count mass produced car.

Haven't touched the rigging part yet.
