I am currently using MTNL wireline broadband with limited downloads. Now I am looking forward to shift to 3G data cards after seeing that my friend has got Vodaphone 3G data card for Rs. 1400 which includes 3G data card device, sim, connection & monthly usage of upto 1GB in Rs.100/- a month.

Pls tell me are these data cards cheap as compared to landline broadband connection in limited connections. If yes, pls tell which one should i go with as I GB data for a month is mroe than sufficient for me.

I am living in Delhi.

Regards
Rohit

Instead of the data cards, that are provided by the telecom companies, go for the unlock ones, so that in future you can change the operator according to your need and usage.
The UMG 1831 is a good one, i am using it right now with my aircel connection.

Regarding the data plan, it mainly depends on what you do on the net, if you are a casual browser, then 2GB will suffice. Now a days almost every telecom operator have internet packs (usualy for ~100 rs) with 2GB data useage
