Hi,

Dont know someone have already highlighted this or not but I think 3g(Services and Hardware) should go to a separate section.

Just an !dea what I felt shud be executed, as 3g services and modems attract a lot of members over here. And if done I think every info needed for 3g or modems will be available there.

*Although my last idea about the magazine didn't went all the way but it got some serious response. If just few users(content writers) are interested this can be done and will definitely get a good response.

IMO this is a tech forum and all these mobile tech 2g,3g etc. comes under the mobile section, and there is no need for a new section. If this a mobile forum, then its a different story, but for TE. i feel that no separate 3g section is required.

Its no big deal, tech evolve and we can't create new section every new tech comes.

Still wait for the senior members for their views

^mate 3g is basically a mobile technology and it won't be feasible to have such a section. Other members might ask for new section for sandybridge....

With the current pricing of 3g by the private players,i dont think many will be interested in the subject.

it would make sense to have a telecom operator section rather than 3g to discuss the various plans but 3g at its nascent stage does not deserve a thread for now. :)

@ggt, are you suggesting a separate section for separate operator :O
nope mate.
I am telling to create a sub section for telecom operators to discuss new plans and schemes.
Currently only thing about 3g we might end up discussing would be tricks for various operators which will eventually will get locked and users getting banned :P

As i have said before that will be good only if TE would be a mobile forum. My voting for this is neutral

No threads on tricks do not get closed and users do not get banned. Workarounds and loopholes are fine on TE and get addressed on a case by case basis if reported.

^ is'nt that dubious standards then because the forum does not allow software piracy which is some ways exploiting the loopholes in the software. :S ?

as it i have seen telecom operator bots posting here so i would definitely not encourage users to post tricks on TE :hap2:
trying to keep Techenclave clean

Please post 3G internet topics under Wireless Internet
exactly... we already have the said technology classified under wireless internet.

3G 3.5G 4G LTE etc need not be further classified as a section unless they have subcategories of their own.

^I agree with most of the views but if we can refine the sections as much as we can then it will be very easy and managed too..

and wireless section is fine and should be followed..

Rest if most of you think its okey and it is OkAY.. ;)

No software piracy is piracy. Its not about exploiting loopholes in software. If you can change settings on your phone and get better speed or free internet then its different. The operator is allowing you to do it by providing a loophole.

^^ok got it :) . but having burnt my fingers making a telecom provider famous here itself i lost the opportunity of using free internet i was using for more than 2 years.

so no more trick sharing here please. the tricks gets busted earlier on TE than anywhere else :P
