Its never going to be nice and I am sure some day later isp and operatore will understand that FUP is slow poision which will kill internet penetration. our operator are just ape other countries simply ignoring the fact that those countries who have this fup system already reached 90% above internet penetration.

I dont know why but new sim cards are required for accessing 3G services.

When the BSNL 3G network was tested in Pune, new sim cards were given to the beta testers.

All the networks are giving new sim cards to those who want to access 3G services(BSNL,MTNL,Airtel. Dont know about Vodafone).

new sims r not req to access 3G.out here in Durgapur i've 2sims:
1>BSNL 3G sim
2>BSNL 2G sim

and i can access the 3G network from both sims equally.also i can surf in 3G mode with the 2G sim (access point being the 2G access point www.e.pr).it shows connected @ 3.5G and speeds r like 15-45kBps (does fluctuate a lot but who cares i'm getting it for Rs.152 pm unlimited)

also BSNL has schemes where u can shift from 2G-3G with ur old sim card (dunno much bout this)
