Are you sure about the 600 rupees UL plan ??
I strongly recommend you do a cross check as i suspect this is the Rs 599 2G Unlimited GPRS/EDGE and not 3G. You may get 3G speeds for now because of the ongoing vodafone offer (Try 3G at no extra cost).

For USB 3G stick, i can recommend UMG 1831 since i am myself using it. You can check with dvdstoredelhi if he has them.

^ This plan was there for a while even before 3G launch. It's just a 2G plan as raksrules mentioned but the USB Stick is 3G compatible just like the Idea Netsetter stick.

My mistake i checked it with andhra pradesh i forgot i stay in mumbai..lolz

But still can you make out something from it

Vodafone 3G USB Stick: 3G USB Modem - Internet access for laptop & Desktop | Mumbai
This is not a 3G plan but 2G GPRS / EDGE for 599 per month to be used with Vodafone 3G READY (does not mean it will give 3G speed) USB stick. I suggest you are better off with normal 98/99 rupees 2GB plan to be used with mobile.
This plan is something i would not recommend.
Even if you get the vodafone 3G speeds it will be pulled back to 2G in few days when they stop the trial offer.

Hmm so what are the other options...

I am planning to use the internet with lappy and main requirement will be net at-least upto 1 mbps speed or something less than that.5gb per month will be more than enough as i just want to do share trading in market time but also want to watch live channels like cnbc and zee business.

^^ For share trading .5GB may suffice but watching TV channels will eat lot of bandwidth and 0.5GB will be too less in that case.
Also 3G connectivity of all operators are not consistent everywhere so you first check how are the 3G connectivity of various operators in the place you are going to primarily use the connection and then ascertain whom to go for.
Also check out the MTNL 3G rs 750 thread, some sort of unlimited plan. Not sure if it exists but :S

I think that the topic got diverted. the original question is on the best USB stick. I am also looking for now 3G USB stick and watching this page.

IMO, Huawei USB 3G modems have the best compatibility OOB. Their drivers get loaded automatically and there is a simple dial-up type screen for connecting to the WWW.

Now the choice of modem depends on the network you want to you use it with.

If you want to use MTNL/BSNL 3G network, then Huawei E122 is the most VFM modem. Supports speeds upto the maximum that these networks provide. Most probably you'll be safe and (almost) future proof with such a modem as these slo-mo government companies will not make upgrades till 4G comes in. :P

Now on the other hand, if you want to use networks like Airtel, Vodaphone, Reliance (and frankly, if you can afford their exorbitant rates), then get the Huawei UMG1831. Supports up to 21.6 Mbps speeds which is the maximum that these ISPs will provide in India.
