CPU/Mobo 4*1gb modules won't boot

I have XFX 650i Ultra mobo and 4*1gb kingston DDR2 667 value ram. The problem is, if I insert any of the module into the white colored slot the system won't boot but if I insert that same module into the black slot the system works fine.
I have already updated the BIOS to the latest.
So, the current scenario is that I am only able to use 2gb RAM :( (using both black slots).
Any help or advice is appreciated.

It's most probably a mobo issue.:(

Have you purchased this mobo recently?

There is big likelihood of the present batch of XFX 650i ultra mobos in Mumbai beinga bit dicey.:(

Stormblast had a similar issue.
With one stick of 1GB Kingston elpida ram, machine would be stable.
With 2 sticks in dual channel, it was 50:50 stable.
With 4 sticks- either no boot or absolutely unstable, iirc.:(

He wasted a week memtesting the RAM as then, no one had any idea how Kingstion with Elpida chips are.
He tried out his older Kingston sticks off another machine that had Hynix Y5 chips- but still problems persisted.
He also took the rest of the h/w like HDD, psu,... home to check on his home rig.
Finally he got another XFX mobo in replacement but even that had similar issues.

Exasperated, frustrated and since it was for his office and needed urgently, he settled for the pricier Asus P5NE SLi just for the sake of stability.
(He had to pay more for the extra PCIe slot and Asus tag for no reason).

The XFX mobo he has at home is from the initial batches and works fine till date- touchwood.

I got the mobo just a couple of days after stormblast. Anyhow finally 3*1gb modules get detected but the 1st white slot (closest to the cpu) still won't boot.
Maybe I should get 2*2gb and use only the black slots.

which cabinet are you using ... if its a chieftec ..please check if something is shorting the board from the back near the ram stick . it happened to me and thexfactor ....

Yikes!!
If the mobo is faulty, you wanna keep it till the others slots go bad and wait for months for RMA from the distro.

Get a replacement imho, asap, from the dealer- one that works.:cool2:

Else pay a bit more for the P5NE sli for the not so useful extra PCIe slot, black PCB and the Asus tag- but get some peace of mind.
Its 7K now or maybe lower if you are lucky and good at bargaining.:p

I had also format my PC several time to install fresh copy of XP...but didnt got any solution

I had applied fresh thermal paste on Heat stink for more cooling effect..
I am not able to understand where is the exact problem...
Where is the problem.....May be with PSU 400W? Dynet RAM? .......?????

I had attached pics of BIOS settings and motherboard settings via Ntune interface....Please inspect them from core and guide me to make changes

The replacement mobo I got is again faulty (doesn't even boots).
So returned it back for another RMA. I am talking with rashi to give a me a ASUS mobo as the replacement and I am ready to pay the extra cost (whatever it maybe). Haven't decided on the mobo but if they agree then maybe will get some highend mobo.
So my first query is.........will rashi give me an ASUS mobo as replacement or I have to settle for XFX (they are ready to give me a new XFX mobo). They don't seem to eager to give asus as a replacement even after me willing to pay the extra cost.
If I do get ASUS as replacement then which mobo should I get for budget around 10k + the replacement cost.
