My 10 year old samsung tv just took its final breath and is dead now. I don't want to spend anymore on the panel replacement and as even though it was a good tv it is very old now. I am looking for a TV which will primarily be used to view TV content a lot of which is going to be SD so it needs to have decent upscaling also dual band wifi, a good contrast ratio and at least 350 nits of brightness along with hdr10+ and dolby vision support. It should also be at least a DLED as edge lit panels have really bad black uniformity. I am getting all this in my budget in the offline and online markets but only from chinese brands like TCL, Hisense, etc. and since it is for my parents they don't want any of those. So, if you have an 1-2 year old tv lying around that you don't use much and wouldn't mind getting rid of drop a message.

SIZE: 50" or above (could also consider 43" or above for a really good one)
