WTB 4gb ddr3 ram

I am extremely low on budget at the moment and I want to upgrade my ram from 4gb to 6 or 8gb (max motherboard supports 8gb).
I don't need any fancy ram ,any old ram lying around should do.
btw my motherboard is Intel dh55pj and has only two ram slots motherboard specs.

What does it mean?

Means exactly what you said in DM. My RAM is "more modern" than your platform can perhaps support.
Memory chips are only on one side of the stick, high density memory also known as Single rank IIRC.
