Need a USB flash drive and MemC have both the Transcend V30 as well as the OCZ ATV on offer now. I have no clue about flash drives, but what would you guys recommend? Of course, reliability is important.

Thanks! :)

get patriot xporter if possible hehe (61 pounds)

ya get OCZ ATV(read/write speeds looks decent). dont worry about reliability and all :) . never go in for dumb a$$ slow transcend especially v30(or v30i)

Now that's the kind of info I'm looking for lol. Just need something cheap that can get the job done reliably well... thanks man!

For anyone else interested, you can check out MemC's current specials here. Getting a couple of 150x SD cards for my cameras too.

dude. u might wanna check out the buffalo RUF-2E range of flash drives..

their speeds are second only to the corsair voyager drives..

and they are priced damn well too...

Also, can anyone comment on Sandisk Cruzers?
They are very good. Ive had a 256mb one for last 4+ years (still working). Cant say much about r/w speed :) doesnt take long to fill 256mb.

Got 2 and one was used in manufacturing setup. It was physically beaten up like anything in the initial few months but still worked without any problem. Finally died end of last year.

I would suggest going for Buffalo, ive had their 2.5" HDD for few years and ram bought early this year. If i were to go for a usb stick now, I would go for buffalo.

Finally ordered the 4GB OCZ ATV from MemC this morning... made more sense to get something with true lifetime warranty, what if I drop it in my soup? lol :D

Besides, deejay pointed me to this mind-blowing review of the OCZ ATV Turbo, the ATV's bigger brother. The only difference is the 2x write-speeds of the Turbo.

the buffalo 4GB ones are available in mumbai for arnd 1450. not sure abt other places. buffalo wud have been a decent buy i suppose.

Been using OCZ Rally 1 GB for over a year, excellent read/write speed which really matters to me.
