Edifier S550 have no optical input option. Edifier S 550 D have it. (D stands for Digital). but there is no details of this product in Edifier's web site. we can find some details in some other site. So availability of this product is a unanswered question. If u can.... plz wait till the december. some times Altec Lansing will release their new product. not sure.If u came to know anything more about Edifier plz inform me too................. best wishes
