PC Peripherals 5.1 speakers shortlist - Budget 5-6k

Hi! all,

I have shortlisted the following models for a colleague...not in any order of preference...i'd like you ppl to help me choose the best possible one in the specified budget....6k is the upper extreme...would prefer if its kept to 5k or less. ALso please let me know the place from where these can be bought in mumbai.

1) Altec lansing(AL) 251 ( availabilty?)
2) AL VS 3251
3) AL VS 3151
4) Logitec x-530/x-540(availabilty of x-540 in india?)
5) Creative Inspire T5900
6) Creative Inspire T6060
7) Creative Inspire T5200
 
Maybe the Logitech X-530.:P

BTW, anyone knows how AL 251 and Loggy X530 compare?:S
The 530 is pricier- so really worth the extra money- for someone looking for not so bad 5.1 setup on a tight budget for whom the X530 is kinda max budget?:ashamed:
 
I'm also in similar kind of confusion, but from the specs. it seems that inspire t6060 are probably better than x-530, 'cause of its wooden sub, and also front speakers are 2-way having seprate tweaters and mid dividers...From design point of view also, the x-530 dosen't have any sort of remote(Wired or Wireless) making it incovinient for controlling and also cables are attached for front and center speaker, which can cause problems...

I've asked couple of guys on Guru3d forums having inspire t6060, they also say to go for it, unless you listen to too much techno music or you're bass freak( the sub of x-530 is more powerful but not by much..)

Let's see, i will probably pick up this set in weak or two..
 
altec lansing 251 has very less length of wires .. whoever designed it shud is crap:@

creative sux ... i dont like inspire series at all ... i have had 2.1 and 5.1 inspire .. at first listening its ok .. but when u go on listening to those speakers they soud dumb and crap ... and also we cant set bass more than 40% .. the sound goes utter crap ... nnooooooo for creative inspire:no:

i dont have any experience with altec nor logitech .. please give some advise who have listened to all brands.. problem is that here in HYd they dont give demo .. only after buying they give 5.1 speakers demos of some models :@

rite now using frontech 5.1 system lottttttt better than creative

I need speakers for 5K -6K
the speakers should give good music effect not dumb sounds shud give a pleasing effect by splitting the music into different satellites..
bass should be clear and tight bass (unlike creative) .. bass shud not give utter sounds when kept above 50%
the satellites wire length should be more .. so as to keep satellites thought the room to get the 5.1 effect from side angles and bottom
waiting for replies .. will buy it tonight or tomorrow .. so reply as soon as possible:cool2:
