Making this is fairly simple as well. I got one made from a sheet metal shop (single 5.25" to 3.5" one) sometime back and donated it to a friend.

Just give them the dimensions and tell them that the dimensions should be perfect for the slide-in rails. The holes can be a bit larger since the screw comes with a washer anyway. They'll do it in a jiffy - all it takes is bending a single plate and spot welding it at 2-3 joints. Drill the necessary holes and you are set. They charge you around 300 bucks. Get it spray painted and it wouldn't corrode. :P

^^ yeah, and I can do the plate cutting/bending in my college workshop using some scraps lying around there... that way I won't have to spend anything; I'll post back if I get off my ass and actually do it :D

^Much better. :)

Nothing beats the satisfaction you derive out of making something yourself! :D

Just be careful about the spacing between each drives and the rails to support them. Rails can be made by cutting the plate and bending them. A 2mm sheet is all that is required.
