5 things not to do on a technology forum

Alright lads, so I've been thinking whether a tech forum takes humour well and I see we do with recent 'friend problems' thread. So this is being written as a mock-up of our techtards and no one should be offended.

Filled by thousands of tech slaves?
Debate on a card with one mb more
Or a 5mhz frequency difference, bore..
There are a 100 things you might do over here
But 5 things you shouldn't, out of fear..
1. Entering debates? Stay away from the gfx fanbois: First guy: "Ooh, I just bought a spanking new 8800GT from NVIDIA and I'm gonna play gamezzzzzzz". Second guy: "Dude, it's a 455454 year old card and the only game you can play is pacman with it. Look at my card. It's ATI 6970 and it costs a bomb". First guy: "Whatever dude, mine is still Nvidia so I'm better". Cue...10 hours of debating on 8800 being old or not with two teams of uber-gay techies.

2. Entering the market? You dare not post: You're scrolling through the market and see a thread. "Ooh...aah this looks interesting". Almost have an orgasm. Get into the thread and you see it priced way more. Do NOT dare to tell the OP that he may have priced a product to be re-sold at a higher price then a new one. Do NOT. He'll eat you alive.

3. Mentioning your purpose on the forum...: Thou shall not do that. Because a slight mention that you're here primarily for the market will lead to your demise and a 1000 members wanting to ban you and creating a pact of blood hungry market messiahs hunting you down and making you cry like a little girl.

4. Do not enter the show-off forum: Cause one day the jealousy will kill you :bleh:

And lastly....

5. Help from techies regarding women: Will not end well. At all. You might get 1% of what you wanted and a gazillion different thoughts in your head. What that might lead to is you being suggested to hookup your girl with your local milkman or send him to gir forest and be mated with lions. Or worse.....tell you to marry her. So do not talk about women.......cause we techies live in caves with our comps and nothing else.
Alright then, I don't know how this will be received. In my head it was funny. Maybe it won't be on paper (err...e-paper nonetheless). Waiting for negative/positive/sarcastic/hysteric/fantastic/spastic comments. :D
 
I SUMMARIZED the following from reading the above post -

you are poet but you write lousy poetry!

1. you have a 8800gt and you are pissed off coz you cant play the latest titles maxed out!! too bad! let me add to your misery - crysis 2 is a known necrophiliac and will stab your card to death and then do unthinkable things to it!

2. you get an orgasm when you go through the market place - unlike the rest of the normal human males who get it normally.

3. you are here for the market place to peddle your 8800gt and no one wants to buy it bcoz it wont play crysis 2! and since you haven't sold it you have been crying like a little girl

4. you are jealous of the show off thread bcoz you are lazy to work hard to earn some money and buy something that made you shed your blood , sweat and tears and share it with the members who will appreciate it- no matter what it is - be it batteries or a cheap 1500rs phone--or in your case looking at your age - you spent all the money you could borrow from your dad chasing females at college unsuccessfully with your lousy poems! Remember - Envy rises out of one's own sense of inadequacy!

5. from what you've written you are still a kid and need to be a bit more mature when you decide to take on the role of playing a knight in shining armour helping girls and help members. heck you even mentioned bestiality in this sentence of yours!! yuck!

you are not funny! go out - get an image makeover and pursue women and not girls! save hard , stop wasting money or get a job and buy something nice and post it in the showoff section - people appreciate simple things here as well.

Not really, I have no second hand stuff. I haven't written it for myself.

I have two market threads. One for a p4 proccy and one for an AGP card. Only cause someone might have any use for it. So community help for cheap I'd say

I was just excited I was on the verge of having my first e-enemy. You telling me he was only kidding? That will break my heart. :(

It's he who looks like a bit offended. Making personal remarks. It's like he thinks I made this thread for him. :P
