Really sorry for opening a new thread, but Im in a bit of hurry and wanted more replies :(

1. Budget : 90K to 110K or as low as possible (I need 2 TVs worth 90 to 110K each)

2. Viewing distance : 5 to 10 ft

3. Sources/inputs such as HD DTH/consoles/stand-alone media players etc : PS3, HD DTH, USB

4. Preference for plasma TV/LCD TV/LED-LCD TV : LED-LCD

5. Preference for brands: Samsung. Me and my family found Samsung LEDS having richer colours and sharper picture compared to comparable Sonys.

6. Willing to purchase it from the grey market? : Yes

7. Ambient lighting conditions of the room : Controllable

8. Any other feature you are looking for such as 3D support on the HDTV, DLNA capabilities etc : 3D, DLNA..

Actually looking for a 55 inches model from either the 7, 8 or 9 series of Samsung. As the C series is going out of production, these TVs are seeming to go at amazing prices. The 9 series 55 incher was given away at 145K at a reliance digital in my city. So gray market prices should be considerably low plus I need 2 TVs of the same model.

Where would be the best place to buy? Im considering Chennai as it is near Visakhapatnam. I dont know if my city has a gray market

Please advise me as soon as possible because Im in a hurry lest the stocks get over

Already got an advice to wait for the D8000 series but,

Would I get these prices for the D8000 series 55 inchers? Im waiting like from 2 years for better models/prices and these prices are too tempting. Im only worried that the old stocks get over and the new series prices wouldnt stabilise which would lead to waiting till next april when the E series releases to buy these D series . Im waiting since too long to treat my eyes with some visual splendor.

And if I decide to buy the D8000 model will they be available in the gray market already or atleast in 1st week of May as they are already on sale in other countries in March?

Sorry for the long post and

Thanks in advance :)

Anyone!! :help:

At least in India I guess a 55" 3D TV should be like 1.5-2.5 lacs or so, tho I dunno much about Tvs

^

I second that, 55 incher 3D Led TVs are very very costly, MRP of series 6 UA55C6900VR is 2 lakhs in Samsung India site. Series 5 and 4 dont have 55 inchers. It is the lowest cost for a 55 incher LED from Samsung.

even if you try grey market i am unsure whether you will get a led at that low a price.up your budget to 1.50.check croma 1st to look at few models and than visit the grey market.

Since the grey market is ok with you, which means warranty is not a concern, check out eBay. There are several sellers similar to i2c who have products listed there. You should be able to find something in your price range.

They are all directly imported from the US.

A New dimension in TV - UA55C8000XR - LED TV - Television | SAMSUNG

MRP is 240k

So in shop price will be like 180-200k or so

Sorry, But did you atleast read my OP completely? I already posted that the 9 series 55 incher went for 145k and you are posting that The 8 series 55 incher would be 180-200k!

@Others: So is buying a C series 3D 55 incher a bad idea in my budget? All other options in my budget dont have as many features as in these.

@Satan: Thanks. But the ebay seller you gave the link to has the d8000 at 2.5 lacs while its maximum list price in the US is 3200$ and its MRP(not selling price) is less than 2.5 lacs in India. Also any update from your GO? And what is i2c :ashamed:
