I want to create a Wifi network using my phone's usb tethering.
If you have a router that supports this feature, dm me.
You don't need USB tethering for this purpose if you are comfortable with mobile hotspot. You can share mobile hotspot to wifi router and that router can in turn share your internet as its own. Many routers can do it already. And USB tethering has limited bandwidth compared to a wifi hotspot.

In my case this is not true.

I want to use my phone strictly as a receiver.
The USB Port on my phone is USB 3.1 compliant.
Essentially a setup like this will have me create a separate Wifi network without any significant bandwidth deduction.

If it's usb 3.1 then no problem for bandwidth. Your phone will lose mobility though. Still it's a really a tough find, router that supports USB 3+ as well as tether.
I have used the setup I explained comfortably for my office for several years. Other devices don't see your mobile or its hotspot. They only connect to the wifi network created by the router.
