PC Peripherals 600$ shopping budget

Hey guys,
I have some relatives coming over from the states so i have about 600$ to spend. Now i was choosing to spend my 400$ between an EVGA 8800GTS 640mb and an ipod touch 16GB. Ofcourse u cant compare them but i have applied for a
scholarship in Singapore and so the Ipod would serve its purpose better if im moving out to Singapore. Now im not sure if ill be going or not and my folks are coming earlier than the scholarship results announcement date. So id love if u could give me ur opinions and any other options of what i can get for 600$ will be appreciated.

P.s. the remaining 200$ was going to be spent on an ASUS P5N-E SLI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard=119$ and the rest on patriot 2gb DDR2 800Mhz RAM.
I need to decide in 3 days..:S
 
Just give me a vote lol. Dont just view this and go away. I need my answer in 3 days and ill surely buy the one which has more votes so pls help, i really need it...
 
thx a lot bottle. I will get the motherboard from india then but pls guys vote for the ipod touch or 8800GTS 640mb...
 
i guess gpu plus a cheap mp3 player :P after a while novelty wears off but when you want to game its better to have a good gpu
 
Thx a ton bottle. I have an ipod mini which is a bit more than 2 years old so i was wondering whether i shld get a new ipod or not. Its more for showing off and apple basically wins coz of its uber cool interface always. The thing is that if i get to go to singapore i bet that my parents will get me a new laptop but then what will i do with my 8800GTS if i have to go to SG. Any opinions there? Im thinking, if i dont open my 8800GTS box till i get the clearance to go to SG or not, will someone on TE buy it for the near the full price. I mean ill be buying the factory ovetclocked EVGA version clocked to 576Mhz which will be kinda cool to own with the warranty on the factory overclocked card.

^^^^try 8800 gtx evga 768 mb stock edtion ;)

then buy lot of cool fan u can oc use some cooler fan :P

even stock 768 mb can easy beat oc 640 mb :P
