Here are some pics and screenies for fun, :P

Darky and u tell me that u dont get whatever latest comes in market ;)

It seems u r the first to have 64bit sempron on TE.

u didnt mention how much did it cost u.

And u even oced it to 2103.9Mhz gr8

Yep got this for a friend yesterday.Seems a good buy.The proccy cost 3k & the motherboard with it was a MSI board[dont remember the model number] was around 3k odd.So this is peanuts for sure.

Yummy....looks very tasty. Will probably get one ,in the states for $60,hehe...

This would rock on the DFI nf3-250.

The multiplier can be a spoiler though,2.1ghz is a bit low.

The 2600+ is better b'coz of the 8X multi. With 300HT on a good nf3-250 board ,its easy to realise the frequency ceiling of about 2.4-2.6Ghz for these processors.:D

Though 2.1ghz of A64 power still kicks royal ass.:cool2:

Shall check one out once I get to bbay... The DFI is not limited to 300HTT unlike the asus boards so these puppies shud rock! :D

Hmm, congrats Darky ! I think this is the best time for me to upgrade my Athlon XP 2000+ rig to a 64-bit Sempron and a K8N-E :ohyeah:

Dude i am using the first BIOS to be released to support this chip.May be further BIOS will perform better.Although the CPU begs to be overclocked even further,my board was holding me back.
Interestingly after inserting the Sempron, the Vcore setting disappeared.lol :P

I am eagerly waiting for newer BIOSes to roll out so that i can hopefully OC better. ;)

BTW, what volts did u feed @ 300HTT?
Well Vcore was locked @ 1.4V lol

I am sure, its capable of more.May be i need to find Chaos's address soon, there is one DFI board there, need to forcefully borrow it :P

there is absolutely no need to rub even more salt on peoples wounds. :@

Hey Darky, nice work man; don't take things so personally.Lol.
The xbitlabs experiment on the earlier sempron 2600+(32-bit,S-754,128K L2) yielded 8x313HTT on the DFI.
This puppy may do higher on HTT but the muliplier limitation still stands. An 8X multiplier is ideal for this CPU.

^^ Guess perhaps the BIOS isnt optimised for it. Maybe future BIOS revisions should sort that.

Had seen them here @ Delta Peripherals a couple of days back. Prices for the 2500+ ~ 2.5K , and the 2600+ ~ 3K . Incredibly cheap to convince anyone to go for it, if a budget system is what they need.

These are 90nm parts, and owing to the smaller cache size can overclock a bit easier too. However like UT mentioned, the low multiplier is a downer and only higher HTT boards can take advantage of its potential.

EDIT: think i've been sleeping :P

Even if it overclocks more or not is immaterial but i am truly impressed with this chip.

What i genuinely liked about it -

1] Price
2] Runs Ultra Cool
3] 64Bit,SSE3
4] Onchip Memory Controller
5] 90nm Fab tech

i hope at least this will make my m/b sell :)

PS: Shameless advertising :D

The USP of this chip is overclocking so ur mobo won't exactly be able to make steamy love to it.:ohyeah:

Though someone wanting a very very cheap combo will lov eit.

USP of this chip is actiually cost. Nothing else.
The ocing is added benifit for ocing junkees. I mean at 2.5K you get a chip which can spank some much more expensive pentiums and celerons ;)

Hitman thats not the processor we are talking about here.
The one in the artical you posted is old 32bit sempron.
And ofcourse its not targetted twords gamers. Its for the cheap PC with performance better than celeron D ;)
