Graphic Cards 6600 GT AGP Temperatures

Hey there guys , i would like to know the idle/load temperatures from the 6600 GT AGP owners .

I had called up Mediatech today to inquire abt zalman coolers ( they are the official dealers for India on the zalman website ) , they didnt have any zalman coolers :no: , though he informed me that they are gettin the Gainward 6600 GT AGP in the first week of June and its priced at 11k , i didnt ask which model , but as anyone wud have guessed it wudnt be the golden sample :).

Any of u guys know where can i source zalman vga coolers from ? . I am specifically looking for Zalman VF700-Cu .

If funky's readin this .... howz the shipping package for the stuff from coolpc.au ? .... am worried since the zalman comes in a plastic casing and can get damaged if pushed around .

this is what is given on the zalman site too :) . Anyway , Thanks for the taking the effort . :hap2:

About my Gigabyte 6600 Gt AGP , it idles between 58c to 61c , depending on the time of the day , and hovers between 75c to 84c under load. Though other gigabyte owners from US have reported similar temperatures and the threshold for core slowdown is given at 145c, i still wanna know if these temperatures with stock cooler are acceptable by any standards ? . I have never faced any system hang ups and never have had any kind of artifacting . Eagerly looking forward for the idle/load temperatures from the other 6600 GT AGP owners , and yea BTW these are core temperatures .
 
^^ So they dont stockem :huh:

About the temps, sme1 had recently posted stuff bout this.......experiments were carried out by sme sites nd it was proved tht the cards can perform even on 90C continuously or such.....

So i dnt think u will hav ny probs. ;)

Yea , had called Mediatech Mumbai and they dont stock Zalman coolers , though he told me they had stuff from thermaltake .

well the coolpc does a good packaging. No question about it. ITs our customs guys that myss it up when repackaging after opening the box. but now i have the import permit so i can get the items cleared in front of me on that same day.
So dont worry about it.
 
For my Leadtek 6600GT AGP:

At Idle:
Core: 50-51
Ambient: 39

Under Load:
Core: 75-84
Ambient: Upto 47

My case ventilation isn't great I guess (even with 2 80mm fans, 1 for intake and 1 for exhaust, darn these PATA IDE cables block the airflow). Under load, the ambient temps reach 47 after half an hour on intensive gaming therefore affecting the core temps too.

Another thing is that my core slowdown threshold temp is 127 and not 145.
