21-30k 6700xt with 550w PSU

I'm thinking of buying a 6700XT but I'm second guessing because of 550w Coolermaster mwe bronze PSU I have in my PC. Will it be enough to run 6700XT?

Rest of system spec is i3-12100F, 16gb ram, nvme SSD and 3 case fans of 5W each which have relatively low power consumption.

get a gold version psu and also try for 750 as you will regret later if going for 650watt. telling based on user experience.

Add a power limit as soon as you boot your system with GPU for the first time, and you'll be fine. I think you should be able to go as low as 150w (try either undervolting or power limits) without much performance loss. Frame caps and lowering game quality will help as well.

was using a 6700 with a bronze rated CV 450W, didnt reboot once. so i think power usage wasnt exceeded.
did upgrade to gold 650W after about a month tho.

I already have a 550w bronze PSU so I'm not planning to upgrade it. If it's not recommended to use 6700xt with 550w, then I may go for 7600/6650xt or wait for the upcoming 4060. All these have relatively now TDP compared to 6700XT.

you should be easily able to use 6700xt with a bronze 550W

Undervolting is something I'm considering.
 
i checked with machine and my i5 12400 with 6800xt draws 450W only. so you should be good with 6700xt on 550W, though 650W would be recommended as its not 100% efficient.
 
Gold certified are recommend due to its durability. I use to have Corsair GS600 and it was not able to handle AMD 1055T and GTX 760 at that time due to the way power was delivery or the system use to suck power in middle of no ware. had RMA its like 8 times, on ninth time, emails corsair USA and got India's first RM series PSU (it was just announced that week in USA market) as replacement.
Then no issues what so ever.
In today's age I think bronze psu are more efficient and quality might have improved. but I would still recommend for peice of mind and durability.

Power draw for 6700xt is 70w lower at 230W typically so I'm also thinking it's fine.

i tested 6700(175W-225W Tdp)
on full load with a 3300x(65W ).
tried both furmark amd timespy
just try running at full load and if u get reboot/crashes , upgrade ur psu.

This makes sense - but 90% it shouldn't reboot and if at all undervolting should solve it is what I think. Don't want to spend another 6-7k on psu as my 550w is only 2 months old. I didn't think of upgrading my GPU then.

I'm using a 5700XT with a VS450 w/a 5600. Works just fine. Prior to the 5700XT, was using it with an R9 290 (not oc'd). Those cards were notoriously power hungry. Never had any power-related issues over the years.

You'll be fine with that MWE 550W.
