Graphic Cards 6800 Ultra

Hi,

I am planning for a major PC upgrade very soon. I wanted to know whether 6800 ultra is available at Nehru Place. Curious mind also wants to know the price of 6800 ultra at Nehru Place.

Any Nehru Place frequenter out there??

Regards,

Mission

Leadtek prices
6800 Ultra PCI-E 256 MB - Rs. 28,000
6800 Ultra AGP 256 MB - Rs. 29,000

XFX 6800U sells for arnd 30-32k ! the problem might be availability. You might also want to refer this thread http://66.29.14.159/forums/showthread.php?t=4998
The prices for leadtek 6800GT has been reduced to 17k for agp. The performance difference between the Ultra and the GT is not worth the extra 12k for the ultra.

i agree with blade..
and the GT can be o'ced to ultra speeds with some good cooling..
strongly suggest the GT over the Ultra...and the GT availability will be better...

Yup, same here either get the 6800GT or wait for 3-5 months till the 7800GTX reaches about that price tag here. Though its just advice, if your in a hurry just ignore the second sentence ;)

Ha get a 6800 GT point blank, and if you want that minor speed bump get an aftermarket cooler, and Overclock the card a lil bit. Apart from syenthic benchmarks there will be a negliguble diff in gameplay.

Hey
A friend of mine wants to sell his 6800 Ultra purchased around a month back.
I only sold it to him.
Its PCX and 256MB GDDR3.
Has 3 years warranty.
Tell me if you are interested.

Guys...taking the topic forward...

My budget is 50K. I already have a P IV 2.4 ghz processor. Now all I need to upgrade is the RAM, motherboard, GFX card, PSU, and cabinet.

Please suggest me some good configurations keeping in mind my requirements.

U have the CPU.. so u r limited to a AGP based solution only.

RAM - Hynix D43 512MB x 2 (OCes well if u lucky enough to find good ones)

Mobo - makes sense u stick with 865PE based mobo from Asus or MSI (the Dlx/Premium model only)

PSU - Antec TruePower series (typically a 550W one that comes with 24-pin connector, helps in future upgrades)

Cabinet - any of the good ones from Antec/Coolermaster or the VIP ZB-01.

Graphics - 6800GT AGP.. the best VFM top end card..

My suggestion wud be u sell the CPU too and treat urself to a socket-939 based PCIe solution :D

Perhaps this thread shud be moved to General Hardware as that covers the complete discussion
